What Draconis is
A short introduction to the platform.
A website platform for communities#
Draconis is a website platform for organized communities. A community that runs on it gets a home page, a page for each of its departments, documentation, rules and policies, a joining path, and pages for its community, media, staff and changelog.
Platform and deployment#
Draconis separates two things.
| Owned by | Examples | |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | Draconis | Page structure, layout, type, navigation behavior, accessibility |
| Deployment | The community | Name, colors, words, images, departments, links |
A community changes the paint and the pictures. It does not move the walls.
The dragon and the charcoal and ember colors are the default Draconis look. A community replaces the artwork and the brand colors with its own.
What it is not#
Draconis is not a site builder. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no admin screens, and a community's site is changed by updating its files. See the platform page for what it does and does not do today.
